My sister had been a member of FXB for a while. I had gone to a couple of "bring a friend" days with her and I really enjoyed it, but I didn't sign up. As I watched her get smaller, I got bigger. I started to feel more and more depressed as the clothes that were now too big for her were getting tight on me. I got to the point I was uncomfortable in my own skin. My husband, at the time, saw my depression and surprised me by signing me up. That was the summer of 2011. My first couple days I didn't think I could make it through the 10 weeks. I was in tears on my first upper body day and wound up calling my sister saying "I can't do this, I'm not as strong as I thought I was." She told me "Yes you can! Give yourself a chance, you can do this!" With encouragement and support from my sister, my coach, my team, and other people in my class, I made it through my 10 week session and won the $1,000. FXB has been the only program that I have been able to stick with. The continuous support from the other members even after your 10 week program is done; there is continuous encouragement to stay on track with FIT challenges; and the combination of resistance training and kickboxing keeps working out far from boring! (Kickboxing is a great stress reliever!) FXB has shown me just how strong I can be both physically and mentally; and has made me more self confident in everything I do! One of my favorite things about FXB is being able to be a part of helping others on their journey to a healthier lifestyle. I love FXB and my gym family!
